BA in Music Education | Accordion, Banjo, Guitar,

Dennis began studying music at an early age when his grandfather encouraged him to pick up the accordion.  Since then, Dennis has evolved into a talented, multi-instrumentalist and gifted music instructor.  Dennis received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Fresno State University and has spent over 30 years serving as a music instructor in central California.

Dennis has served as the vocal director for Dinuba Elementary and Washington Junior High, the orchestra director for Tulare Unified elementary schools, the band and classroom music instructor at Sunnyside Elementary, the band instructor at Strathmore High School, and the orchestra director at Lemoore High School.  He has also taught at various Visalia Unified schools for 20+ years in addition to working as a private instructor here at Grace Note.

In addition to teaching music, Dennis is also an avid performer. He has spent the last 35 years gigging as a freelance musician in various groups and as a solo artist. He also served as a bassist in the Sequoia Symphony for the over 30 years.  While he is a dynamic musician and an experienced instructor, students describe classes with Dennis as friendly and easy-going.  As his student, you can expect to grow in a positive environment while being taught proper technique and theory.
