Treasa

BA in Piano Performance | Piano

Treasa’s passion for music and dedication to piano began in high school, where she discovered her love for the instrument and started taking private lessons. Her talent was evident when she served as the pianist for her school musical, Sound of Music, during her junior year. This experience inspired her to pursue her piano studies more seriously.

After earning her BA in Music with an emphasis in piano from Cal State Fullerton, Treasa began working as a pianist for a local Baptist church and eventually landed accompanist positions at various schools in the Central Valley. She currently accompanies the music department at the College of the Sequoias, playing for numerous music students each semester.

In addition to her work at the college, Treasa also serves as the pianist for a local church where she enjoys playing a variety of worship music. Her repertoire includes contemporary Christian styles as well as classical pieces by composers like Debussy.

With over 30 years of experience teaching privately, Treasa has honed her skills in working one-on-one with students to ensure focused lessons and steady progress. She emphasizes proper technique and uses a variety of method books to develop well-rounded musicians. Her students often progress quickly and develop a lifelong love for the piano under her guidance.

Treasa’s teaching style is not only dynamic and knowledgeable, but also patient and caring. She welcomes students of all ages and skill levels, encouraging them to take advantage of performance opportunities and grow as pianists. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced pianist, Treasa’s uplifting approach and years of experience make her an exceptional instructor.
